About Brooke (she/her)
I founded The Numa Clinic as a registered psychologist with a passion for understanding how the nervous system, identity and relational histories interact in us all. First we understand, then we heal.
My approach is to offer a synthesis of somatic and cognitive therapies to help you connect past with present, mind with body and find the opportunities between them for healing. Our work together will be shaped by trauma informed principles and draw on interpersonal neurobiology, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and somatic practices that support body-based processing and integration.
While I work with people on a wide range of concerns, I have a special interest in healing post-trauma, including the impacts of shame, fear, powerlessness, anxiety, identity disruption and dissociation. I also have a strong background in supporting people around sexual and gender identity, minority stress, and the ongoing impacts of living with HIV.
I offer face to face sessions on the Gold Coast and telehealth sessions nationwide.
Sessions are $220 with a rebate available under a valid mental health care plan and referral.
